Down two games in a best-of-five grand final, RaijinKen ran the set back against KryptFiend — a perfect round in game three, a 3-2 crown at the end of it.
The first iplay Kombat Klash came down to the last hit of the last round of the last game.
The semifinals set the tone. RaijinKen dispatched EdeniaEdge 3-1 on the back of immaculate Flawless Block punishes — every overextension answered with a full combo into the corner. On the other side, KryptFiend ground down HanzoBurn 3-1 with suffocating Kameo pressure, never letting the Scorpion's Den fighter find breathing room to start offense.
Then the grand final went the distance. KryptFiend read RaijinKen's wake-up habits and took the first two games clean. Facing set point, RaijinKen switched Kameos, slowed the pace, and delivered a perfect round in game three that flipped the arena. Game four went to a final-round trade; game five came down to a single interaction — a jump-in read, a full punish, and the health bars told the rest.
"After 0-2 you stop playing the bracket and start playing the person," RaijinKen said through an interpreter, trophy in hand. "I knew the habits. I just had to trust the reads."
