Rulebook
How the circuit stays fair — eligibility, formats, conduct, prizing, and what happens when things go sideways. These rules apply to every iplay event.
01Spirit of the circuit
- These rules exist to keep competition fair, matches on time, and the community worth being part of. Staff rulings always aim for the fairest sporting outcome.
- By creating an account or entering an iplay event, you accept this rulebook in full. Staff may update it between events; the version published here applies at match time.
02Accounts & eligibility
- One account per player. Duplicate, shared, or smurf accounts can be suspended without notice.
- Usernames are 3–20 characters (letters, numbers, underscores) and must not impersonate staff, teams, or sponsors.
- Suspended accounts may not enter tournaments, submit Pick'ems, or comment while the suspension is active.
03Teams & rosters
- A team is registered and managed by its owner, who is responsible for the roster and its conduct.
- Rosters must be final before the bracket is drawn. Mid-event roster changes require staff approval.
- A player may only appear on one roster within the same tournament.
04Registration & check-in
- Registration is open while the event is in its registration window and slots remain. Slots are first come, first served.
- Seeds are assigned by staff before the draw. Once the bracket is generated, entries are locked.
- Fields that are not a power of two receive byes in round one, assigned by seed.
05Match format & scheduling
- Events run single or double elimination as published on the event page. Match format (BO1/BO3/BO5) is stated per event.
- Match times are published on the event and match pages. Teams should be ready 15 minutes before the scheduled start.
- A team that is not ready 15 minutes after the scheduled start may forfeit the match at staff discretion.
06Results & bracket progression
- Staff report final scores. Winners advance automatically; the champion is crowned when the final is reported.
- If a result is entered in error, staff may reset it — any XP, ranking points, and Pick'em points it produced are reversed automatically.
- Completed brackets are final once the event is marked completed.
07Pick'em
- Predictions can be placed while a match is scheduled and lock the moment it goes live.
- You cannot pick matches your own team is playing in.
- Correct calls pay XP and ranking points when the result is reported; resets claw those points back.
08Conduct
- Cheating of any kind — hacks, scripting, ringing, match-fixing, bet-related manipulation — means removal from the event and account suspension.
- Hate speech, harassment, and targeted toxicity are not tolerated in matches, comments, or team names.
- Staff decisions on conduct are final.
09Prizing & rewards
- Prize pools are published per event and paid to the registered team owner unless the event page states otherwise.
- Platform rewards (XP, ranking points, titles) are granted automatically by the progression system and have no cash value.
- iplay may withhold prizes pending investigation of any suspected rule breach.
10Disputes
- Raise match disputes with staff within 24 hours of the result being posted — use the contact form with your match link.
- Include evidence (VOD timestamps, screenshots). Staff review and issue a final ruling.
